And the WINNERS are…

We are excited to share with you the results announced at the Awards Gala, including the winner of the PHOTOGraphie Youth Contest, who took home the shiny hardware, and who was awarded the 2016 PPOC-BC Photographer of the Year!

The evening started off with emcee Aura McKay lighting up the stage with her charismatic welcome and opening remarks. She recognized the dedication of Past Chair, Rima Dickson, for her term as BC Chair in 2015. Thanks Rima! Next she awarded Philomena Hughes with the PPOC-BC Regional Citation of Service for their contribution to the BC association.

Next up for recognition were Rima Dickson, Craig Minielly, Dave Scougal, Kevin Wallace and Don Young, who were bestowed the Honour of Fellowship in PPOC-BC. A Fellowship is a designation earned by volunteering on PPOC-BC boards and committees and by consistently achieving the highest standard of image quality in the annual BC image competition.

Congratulations to the 18 high school finalists of the Youth Contest proudly sponsored by Nikon and VanArts. They received certificates and gift cards from Pix Portal. Ian Harland (Flight) was the lucky winner of the Nikon D7200 camera.

Now for the results of the 71st annual PPOC-BC Image Competition. Congratulations to everyone who had images accepted into the Salon Exhibition, and here are the trophy winners:
