September 16th deadline for submissions is just around the corner!
PHOTOGraphie welcomes all BC photographers to submit entries of your work for this open themed exhibit (any subject) that will be curated then displayed during the PHOTOGraphie Festival in November. But get your images in before September 16th!
Paul Wright, of Wright Moment had this to say about his experience selling prints at PHOTOGraphie: “I had the good fortune of being able to exhibit my work during both the 2014 and 2015 PHOTOGraphie Gallery Exhibitions. On both occasions it resulted in print sales. This occured not only as a direct result of being at the event but also following PHOTOGraphie. The exposure is exceptional and is one of the few times that you are able to exhibit your work without creating your own personal exhibition.”
Check the website HERE for all the details and benefits.
BC photographers can submit up to THREE images for consideration for FREE; there’s no submission fee this year, only a small hanging fee to cover costs of the exhibit. This gallery show will be promoted widely through our Instagram and Facebook pages and will be promoted by the Anvil Centre to local galleries. There is a lot of hype on our Instagram page already about this exhibition – we’ve picked up some pretty savvy followers.
Showcase your talent and sell your work! Selected images will hang at the Anvil Centre during PHOTOGraphie Festival Nov. 4th, 5th and 6th along with the images of Keynote Speaker Nino Rakichevich, the PPOC-BC Salon and the Youth Contest Finalists.
Karen Evans, a Fine Art Photographer based in North Vancouver Canada said “Anytime I can exhibit my prints to potential collectors, buyers and to my clients is a huge benefit because where else is anybody going to see my printed work other than in a curated show. PHOTOGraphie gives me another opportunity for collectors and buyers to see my photographic artwork in print – which is so much more beautiful (IMHO) than on a computer screen.”
